Each county in Indiana has a soil and water conservation district (SWCD). Indiana’s conservation districts are structured for local leadership. The Wells County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is a subdivision of state government led by a local five-member board of Supervisors.
The SWCD provides leadership and administers programs to help people conserve, improve and sustain our natural resources through education and technical assistance.

The Wells Co. Soil & Water Conservation District meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the NRCS/SWCD office, 117. W. Harvest Road, Bluffton, IN.
The agenda is posted at the office location. The meetings are open to the public, and the public is encouraged to attend.
